Texas freight shipping
Dry van, flatbed and step deck freight across the Texas Triangle and the border corridors.
How the Texas market behaves
Texas is one of the densest freight markets in the country, and it behaves like several markets at once. Dallas–Fort Worth is a distribution and consolidation hub, Houston is driven by energy, chemicals and port volume, San Antonio and Laredo carry cross-border flows, and West Texas swings hard with oilfield activity.
That mix matters when you price a load. A Houston outbound in the middle of a chemical turnaround does not behave like a Dallas outbound the same week. We quote each Texas lane against current conditions instead of applying a flat statewide rate, and we tell you when a lane is tight rather than accepting freight we cannot cover.
For flatbed and step deck shippers, Texas is also a permit-sensitive state: dimensions, tarping and securement expectations need to be settled before dispatch, not at the shipper's gate. We confirm equipment specifics with the carrier in writing before the truck is assigned.
